Being in the leadership development and coaching space for the past 25 years, Chrysalis Business Solutions Pvt Ltd has always sought to maintain a balance between the creation of content and measuring the impact of the same!
Until the advent of technology and online delivery of content, a sizeable amount of time was invested in content conceptualization and creation, which provided value to the end consumer.
But an equally sizeable effort was put into understanding the impact and the implementation of that content in the mentee’s personal and professional life through a structured mechanism of reviews and post-training support.
The whole idea behind this is that coaching is not reduced to just disseminating information but instead becomes instrumental in the transformation and nurturing of leaders.
With online modes of training and coaching being prevalent and economically accessible to a lot of people, the focus of creators has shifted more to content creation, shooting, editing, and uploading it online.
In this context, the big question that needs to be asked is: how do you measure the effectiveness and impact of your efforts?
In my interactions with entrepreneurs and the Chrysalis Business Solutions Pvt Ltd fraternity at large, I've always had a very mixed response to the offline vs. online mode of learning and development.
For some, learning happens only in classroom settings, and for others, the online route is the best way to learn because it's so very convenient.
As an institution with a focus on impact, I believe that offline interventions are the best way to deliver content, establish a rapport with the participants, measure impact, and accordingly introduce change to enable further improvement.
Although this may limit our reach due to physical constraints, the gratification of witnessing tangible transformation and growth is unparalleled!
How do you think individuals and organizations in the training, coaching, and leadership development industry should measure their success? Volume or impact?
